　　2003年能有三個CCIE，當(dāng)時也算鳳毛麟角了。不過，就在我以為攘括當(dāng)時所有CCIE時， 思科推出了CCIE語音。CCIE所有的項目都是同市場有關(guān)系的，所以CCIE語音面世非 常合適。當(dāng)時參加筆試beta的人數(shù)破了紀(jì)錄。
　　我照例也參加了beta，同樣沒有過。因為2003年換工作，所以一直挨到2004年三月 份才再考通過。到現(xiàn)在還是覺得筆試不是那么容易考。
　　剛好公司里應(yīng)用到思科的CallMananger的產(chǎn)品，所以我也開始弄了個語音實驗室。 說起要考CCIE語音，并不是為了加薪，主要原因是覺得語音通信技術(shù)非常的劃時代。 我在家里的語音實驗室，有兩臺CallManager，Unity和IPCC，一臺Unity，好幾臺voice gateways，還有好玩的IP電話，開始模擬CCIE實驗室。
　　CCIE語音和其他CCIE不一樣，特別是在準(zhǔn)備工作上。以前的三個CCIE，基本上可以 用同樣的路由器和模塊，在思科CLI上練習(xí)不一樣的IOS feature而已(安全實驗室也 添了很多額外的設(shè)備)。而CCIE語音就完全不同，它的核心部分是CCM，是在微軟視 窗上的。這對于很多習(xí)慣CLI而討厭圖形做config的網(wǎng)絡(luò)工程師來講，習(xí)慣上要做很 大的轉(zhuǎn)變。還有語音實驗室的很多模塊就算是二手貨也相當(dāng)貴。只是當(dāng)時voip和IP語 音非常的熱門，所以考的人還是相當(dāng)?shù)亩唷?br>　　我是基本上邊工作邊學(xué)習(xí)。剛好妻子懷了第二胎，預(yù)產(chǎn)期是2005年的八月份，所以 我就加快速度準(zhǔn)備等小寶寶出生之前去考一次。四月份公司派我參加了bootcamp，我的 考試日期是六月底。
　　只是事情有了變化，小寶寶早產(chǎn)了一個多月，突然就在我考試日期前一個禮拜生了。 當(dāng)時也是忙的不可開交，把我的整個計劃都亂套。本來想跟CCIE部門取消考試，后 來還是決定去嘗試，把這一次當(dāng)做一次經(jīng)驗。
　　在San Jose的實驗室，有好幾個是給語音考試的，應(yīng)該可以同時有四個語音考生。 我的那一次和其他CCIE的考生，有十幾個人那么多。上次考CCIE安全還見過Kathy， 這次她已經(jīng)不在這里了。語音考官是Ben Ng，看他的廣東拼音，估計他應(yīng)該是香港 人。呵呵，希望他可以對同鄉(xiāng)手下留情。
　　早就聽別人說CCIE語音是超級難考，所以親臨其境證明了這點(diǎn)。不僅是數(shù)量多，而 且難度也很深。Ben說還沒有人拿過滿分，倒是有幾個拿零分，呵呵。可以第一次過 的話一定是超級幸運(yùn)。如果你對思科語音非常有經(jīng)驗而且能力很強(qiáng)，那么第二次或 是第三次或許可以過。開考一年已經(jīng)有好幾個是第五次來考了。
　　所以那一次，真的只是想更清楚了解難到什么程度。目標(biāo)是達(dá)到了，而且還考到六 十幾分，所以感覺還不錯。
　　小家伙生下來后，我暫且把CCIE的計劃擱置。幾個月后，又開始準(zhǔn)備，再做一次沖 刺。九月中的時候，我又再次來到San Jose。可以說CCIE語音數(shù)量多到連思考的時 間都沒有，所以差不多到最后十分鐘，我才做完，沒有時間去核對檢查。正如自己 所預(yù)料的，很多題沒有做好，以為可以回頭再做，卻沒有時間，所以這次速度是提 高了，可是準(zhǔn)確度卻下降了。所以這次的分?jǐn)?shù)反而比上次低了些。
　　雖然兩次失敗，但是我的信心卻增強(qiáng)。所以第三次再到San Jose的實驗室，是十一 月一號。那次考生好多，每一個CCIE項目都坐滿考生。整個過程考的都很順利，而 且下午三點(diǎn)多的時候我已經(jīng)基本上做完。剩下的兩個鐘頭，我是復(fù)核了好幾次，才 “心甘情愿”交卷。復(fù)核的時候，大概Ben覺得奇怪我坐在那里不像其他人那么忙， 過來說“you must be doing really good”。我只是跟他笑了笑，希望沒有什么意 想不到的事。
　　這次復(fù)核最少幫自己拿回了十幾分，因為很多題目都很瑣碎，如果沒有全部做對還是 沒有分。所以我把一些不該漏的都補(bǔ)回來了。
　　當(dāng)收到CCIE考過的通知，我開心的跳起來。倒不是為了個“quad CCIE”的頭銜，只 是很開心自己的能力可以從以前的data領(lǐng)域延伸到voice領(lǐng)域，視野更開闊了。
