Position Description
Job Title: Business Development Intern
Business Unit: CBRE Residential, Leasing – Shanghai
Reports To: Director, CBRE Residential - China

SUMMARY
The key roles and responsibilities of the Business Development Intern of CBRE Residential, Services are to:
1. Research from chamber/organization directories, online networks and cold calling people who oversee the expatriate mobility department within a multinational corporation.
2. Target to set up 7 or more meetings per week.
3. Once the target is fulfilled each week, you will have the option to choose to attend one of the meetings.
4. Assist with follow up emails, presentations and communication working closely with the Director.
5. Maintain the tracking report of all calls made each day, successful appointment and follow up on what was covered in the meeting.

YOU WILL LEARN
- The process of arranging, conducting and following up on a sales meeting.
- What a residential corporate leasing business does and how it works in Shanghai.
- Learning how to read body language.
- Understanding the meanings behind what is said in the sales meeting.
- Updating/maintaining professional reports and honing in on key points to deliver.
- Cultural differences between Chinese and Western culture in business.
- Successful candidate will receive an official reference letter.

REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent spoken English and intermediate level (spoken) Mandarin.
- Ability to handle verbal rejection on a consistent basis and maintain determination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Be highly disciplined, proactive and with an appetite for challenges.
- Strong communication skills.
